Knowledge and Skills These are the general requirements to serve as an Independent Contractor/Customer Service Professional (CSP) with Trendsetter's W@H Customer Care. The particular Client Opportunity that you select may have additional qualifying requirements and these will be indicated on the individual Opportunity Announcement. It is strongly advised that you download and review the Opportunity Announcement located on the Arise™ portal before selecting and enrolling in an opportunity.

Strong working knowledge of computers including:
  • ability to use a mouse and keyboard;
  • ability to properly turn on and shutdown a computer;
  • ability to use operating system programs to configure and maintain your workstation;
  • awareness of computer security issues and anti-virus programs;
  • understanding of computer navigation and the desktop environment;
  • create, name, save, and delete a file and file-folder;
  • basic knowledge of wordprocessing, spreadsheet, and email applications;
  • knowing how to navigate and search the Internet and work with search programs, i.e. Google:

Computer Hardware

A desktop computer with a separate monitor is recommended. Laptop computers are acceptable if they meet the requirements. Your computer should be equipped with the following:

Client programs require a variety applications, and may require additional software compatibility. The opportunity announcement which is available with each posting will provide detail information about what capability is required and what software compatibility will be needed. Most clients, however, will require the following:

Email


You will need a good email program that will be used to receive communications from Trendsetter's W@H, Arise™, and the Client. These emails will keep you informed of important updates involving the Client and the Client applications, your progress in meeting the Client requirements, and contacts from your Quality Assessor Performance Facilitor (QA-PF). The number of emails is large, so an email especially for your Customer Service Professional (CSP) communications is suggested.

Computer Security


Your computer must have a reliable anti-virus program installed. Microsoft Security Essentials is the anti-virus program of choice for servicing any Arise™ client at this time. Other security programs may be incompatible with Client applications, and if installed, the CSP may be denied technical support when needed. If needed, when you completed your enrollment, visit Arise™ Technical Support for assistance with installation on your servicing computer. You are responsible for maintaining the security and reliability of your Home Office equipment, however, if you need assistance, please contact us or Technical Support.

Please be aware that the following items are considered a security risks to the Arise™ network, and if detected, may subject your Home Business to suspension or termination of your contract.
          
  • Unlicensed or pirated software;
  •       
  • Malware infected software;
  •       
  • Virtualized Operating Systems (i.e. VMWare, Parallels, etc.);
  •       
  • Non-Arise provided VPN (Virtual Private Network) software or Proxy settings;
  •       
  • TOR or other privacy software.

As an Independent Contractor working with Trendsetter's W@H, you will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement that will document your agreement to hold specific information about Trendsetter's W@H, Arise™, the Client and the Client applications, processes, and customer related information in confidence. This form can be downloaded and signed on the Important Forms section of the website. Please read our Privacy Policy documenting Trendsetter's W@H agreement to hold your "personally identifiable" information in confidence.

Workstation Requirements and Accessories


You will also need reliable Internet and Phone Service providers. The requirements are as follows:

Internet Connection

          
  • Hard-wired 3.0 Mbps download/1.0 Mbps upload broadband Internet service via DSL, Cable, or Fiber Optic connection;
            Wireless, Satellite, Microwave, and Cellular Hotspot Internet connection are prohibited;
            2Wire Brand Modem/Router combos and USB connected modems are not supported

Phone Service


Hard-wired land line telphone service:
Unless otherwise stated in the Opportunity Announcement, most client programs are compatible with:
          
  • POTS (plain old telephone service);       
  • Cable telephony;       
  • Digital Service;       
  • VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol);       
  • Long Distance capability is required for some Clients;

The should be directly connect from a wall to telephone outlet. Softphone and cell phones are not permitted. The telephone should not interface at any point with the computer. The servicing telephone line should not include features such as voicemail, fax, caller id, etc.

Accessories



You will also need the items shown, i.e. a USB Headset for training and a Call Center Phone and Headset for servicing for servicing the client. These items are readily available at department stores and online and come in a wide range of prices. The items shown are intended to provide an idea of the equipment needed and is not an endorsement of particular brands. Keep in mind, however, that your ability to provide quality service is in a great measure dependent on the quality of your tools and equipment.
